The RailCabPhoton RCP is the new generation of outdoor cabinets in the digitized track field of the future at DB AG. The double-walled stainless steel design, scalable sizes, expandability, passive climate control, and the required RC2 burglary resistance class with certification for the entire cabinet enable certified, stable installation in the crack area of an overhead line.

Cable cabinets
The cable cabinets are weatherproof, variable, and are used to distribute and terminate telecommunications cables, preferably in rail-bound transport.
The fiber optic splice cabinets are designed to hold fiber optic splices. Cable lengths of 50 m (up to 60', Ø up to 18.5 mm) can be stored with a bending radius of 330 mm.
The fiber optic multi-length cabinets are designed to accommodate fiber optic cables. Cable lengths of 30 m (24', ∅ up to 17 mm) with a bending radius of 330 mm can be stored.

Cable cabinets SKVz
SKVz cable cabinets can be used as components for electronic signal boxes. They provide weatherproof termination and distribution of signal cables and are available in three sizes.
The Rail Cabinet Photon housing (RCP) is designed to accommodate various components. The stainless steel housing is dimensioned and designed so that it can be mounted on the standardized DB steel platform base. The RCP is designed for outdoor use, including the environmental conditions found in the railway and industrial sectors. It is suitable for use on high-speed railway lines with train speeds of up to 300 km/h (track center distance > 4 m). For use in unprotected outdoor areas, the entire enclosure (including the closure) is designed with increased access security in resistance class RC2.

Platform distributor
The platform distributors are weatherproof stainless steel housings.
Special enclosures are made of aluminum, sheet steel, or stainless steel with appropriate powder coating or foil coating. Optional electrical components can be installed, including testing.
